SUMMARY:GENDERCRAFT Part 4 - Gender Expression Applications
DESCRIPTION:Rainbow Registered presents: GENDERCRAFT\, a deeper dive on gender identity and gender expression\, hosted by Eliot Newton (GENDERBANDIT). The deep dive series is split into two topics\, which are further split into two modules each. \n\n\n\nEach topic includes a Fundamentals module (interactive\, beyond-101 learning) and an Applications module (real-life scenarios and best practices). While you can attend individual sessions\, participating in the full series provides the strongest learning experience with minimal repetition. \n\n\n\nThis deep-dive training is designed for participants who already have some familiarity with 2SLGBTQI+ communities and concepts. \n\n\n\nGender Expression ApplicationsThis module begins with a review of best practices related to supporting people with diverse gender identities in three areas: personal support\, institutional practices\, and environmental experiences. \n\n\n\nFollowing this review\, there is a brief discussion of current political realities facing people with diverse gender identities\, composed of discussing international context and reviewing current Canadian issues. \n\n\n\nThe bulk of the module will be a discussion of four scenarios. Each participant will have time to discuss two scenarios in detail\, and review the other two scenarios as part of a debrief.
