Elmhirst's Resort
Elmhirst's Resort is an independent family owned and operated cottage resort, spa and event venue located on the north shore of Rice Lake. Situated in the beautiful Kawarthas Northumberland Region it is only 90 minutes from Toronto.
Comfortable cottage accommodation is provided to guests with options from 1 through 5 bedrooms and includes full kitchen (with stove, full sized fridge, microwave, dishwasher and deluxe coffee maker) and bathroom, fireplace, deck with propane barbecue, television with cable including movie networks, bookshelf stereo units, free Wifi, and private dock.
Dining is available in a casual setting in the Wild Blue Yonder Pub and Patio. Unique farm to table cuisine is offered overlooking Rice Lake in the Hearthside Room. Menus in both rooms feature ingredients raised on the farm on site including Elmhirst's Own beef, duck, turkeys and vegetables. An all VQA wine list and line up of taps from local micro-breweries makes it a haven for foodies. Getaway packages that include meals are a great value and meals are available on an a la carte basis as well. Weddings, conferences and events of all descriptions are hosted in our lakeside event venues.
The Spa@Elmhirst's offers high quality body and aesthetic treatments with a beautiful garden view. Spa packages are also available.
Guests have access to the entire 250 acre property which includes a wide variety of other indoor and outdoor experiences: water sports including water tubing and water skiing, tennis, volleyball and basketball courts, games room, indoor and outdoor pool, bicycles, and a variety of scheduled recreation activities with our Experience Concierge. These are all included in guest rates at no extra charge. The Escape Maze @ Elmhirsts, sightseeing flights departing from a dock on site, and powered motor boat rentals are available as well.
