For founder Ben Liegey, the journey began in France, raised by a mother who worked with professional chefs and a father dedicated to composting. He learned early on that food is a resource too precious to waste.
In 2018, as a newcomer to Canada working onboard the Rocky Mountaineer, Ben saw the hospitality industry booming, but the Okanagan forest fires served as a literal smoke signal.
