GENDERCRAFT Part 3 – Gender Expression Fundamentals

Rainbow Registered presents: GENDERCRAFT, a deeper dive on gender identity and gender expression, hosted by Eliot Newton (GENDERBANDIT). The deep dive series is split into two topics, which are further split into two modules each.

Each topic includes a Fundamentals module (interactive, beyond-101 learning) and an Applications module (real-life scenarios and best practices). While you can attend individual sessions, participating in the full series provides the strongest learning experience with minimal repetition.

This deep-dive training is designed for participants who already have some familiarity with 2SLGBTQI+ communities and concepts.

Gender Expression Fundamentals
This module is primarily concerned with deepening understanding of the term “gender expression”.

It explores some of the myriad ways identity can be expressed, and reviews real-life examples of gender expression being restricted, both formally and informally. The module connects gender expression to other intersectional factors of identity. Gender Expression Fundamentals concludes with three small action items and a discussion of “personal inventory” as preparation for engaging in allyship. There will also be time for Q&A.
